I haven't stopped listening to this CD since I got it yesterday...I love it...I really do...my first Madonna CD that I love all the way through...

It was funny I went to the Target, here in LA, on La Brea at 8am yesterday and there were about ten guys, all armed with their copy of Confessions. By the time my turn came to pay, the cashier looked at me, and then around to the other guys and mumbled "I was wondering what was up with all the gays here this morning." I don't think she said it in a mean homophobic way, just kind of like...ahhh I get it, madonna...

Fave tracks as I type this...

sorry
future lovers
i love ny
isaac...

love the target in la brea. LOL. sometimes i stop there on my way up from SD for my LA boys of Leather meetings.

Madonna has just made the gayest of gay records. The cynic in me would say that this record is a very deliberate ploy to get her pink army back on side, and she's bloody succeeded too. I dont think its a coincidence that she chooses her new very gay record to pull an old song title like "Forbidden Love" out of the closet.....so to speak. wink

At this point, I'd rank the songs this way:

1. Like It Or Not
2. Hung Up
3. How High
4. Get Together
5. Sorry
6. Let It Will Be
7. Jump
8. Future Lovers
9. Isaac
10. I Love New York
11. Push
12. Forbidden Love

That said, it's still way early. But it is shocking to see a song like "Future Lovers" as low as number 8 at this point, because I adore it.

This album is magical for me.

this all makes me laugh a bit, because i remember when Matt Lauer asked MADONNA in an interview (while promoting "The English Roses") if she thought she could still be a pop star at her age. her response was classic.. "Watch Me." lol

ok..this album should be called "Orgasms On A Dance Floor", because i just about climaxed 10 times this morning listening to it. giggle redface

Oh don't get wrong,I really like 'American Life' too.But I think 'COADF' is much more fun, thus I think it's a better album lol

'Like A Prayer' is her first masterpiece. It's the album that set the stage for her amazing 90s output.Unlike most 80s artists,Madonna thrived in the 90s,creatively and artistically.I rarely listen to her first three albums.I prefer the albums that came after.

For me, fun doesn't equal quality. At least not from Madonna. It seems to for many though.

And I agree about her 90's output. But her 80's hits are undeniable. Probably her greatest run of top notch songs.

I'm still holding out until the limited edition comes out, because I want "Fighting Spirit", and the free ICON membership so I can get "Super Pop".

It is HELL waiting! I'm DYING to hear this album crystal clear in my car! The leaked copy is just gonna have to tide me over in the meantime. I friggin' love this album.

not sure that you'll still get Super Pop with the membership that comes with the Limited Edition. you might, but you might not.

So what does everyone think should be the next singles, and in what order?

Id actually go for Jump next, I think its the catchiest song on the album and I love her “virtues of the family” type songs. After that Id release Sorry – an obvious choice (does anyone think this sounds like a much much much better Runaway Lover, both melodically and in its message???). Then I’d have it as a toss up between Push and Get Together. Push is different to most of the album, and pretty much anything she's released before, but Im not sure it would catch on the radio compared to something like Get Together.

So for me this is how im seeing the album at the moment

Singles:

Hung Up
Jump
Sorry
Push
Get Together

Very good Album Tracks:

Future Lovers
I Love NY
Let It Will Be
How High

Good Filler:

Forbidden Love
Isaac
Like It Or Not

Bad Filler

NONE

Hung Up
Sorry (Europe)
Jump (US)
Get Together (Europe)
Push (US)
Let It Will Be (both)

It's Madonna vs. Carrie Underwood for next weeks # 1 album . Too close to call. From hitsdailydouble.com...

ONE-DAY SALES: FANS SAY “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MATERIAL, GIRL”

Veteran Artist Aims to Reclaim Her Crown, While Retail Gets Ready to Weigh the CMA Factor

November 16, 2005

A pair of potentially big records from female singers from different generations streeted yesterday, with Madonna holding a slight lead over Carrie Underwood in the early going. Right now, the Material Girl’s Warner Bros. album is looking like 325k-350k, while the J/RMG debut from the 2005 American Idol winner is trending at 300k-325k. That said, let us not forget that the CMA Awards were telecast last night, with Underwood singing her current Country hit, “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” and the phenomenon that industryites have dubbed “the CMA factor” makes this race too close to call, considering said factor could easily sweep young Carrie to 350k or beyond.
